Who are you kidding Katie, we all traveled in excess of 4 hours in order to go see that super awesome dinosaur exhibit. Did you guys ever find water ice with Tony after Villa di Roma? (which was fantastic as expected: I ate more food there than I had the previous 5 days combined haha). Don't let the cheese bite you

So I know I missed this trip but the next time you go you should hit up White Dog Cafe. It is right next to UPENN campaus and I have eaten there many times for brunch, lunch, dinner, and just bar snacks, and have never been dissapointed.

Thanks for the recommendations, Karen! I have been to and adore the Reading Terminal Market. It's going to be a real test of will power for me to skip the roast pork from DiNic's, which I submit is better than any cheesesteak sandwich in town. Yeah, I said it.

If you're on a Foodventure (meat-free) in Philly and are looking for good lunch spots, I'd recommend either:
1. DiBruno Brothers (it's a gourmet food market with their own cheeses, spreads, antipasto, etc in Rittenhouse Square... but there's a cafe upstairs).
2. Go to Reading Terminal Market... it's foodie PARADISE and there are a million spots for lunch there.

Regardless, you HAVE to stop by Metropolitan Bakery (there's a location at Reading Terminal Market and another by Rittenhouse and maybe other locations in the city. Anyway, incredible breads and cookies. I still have dreams about this chocolate chip and sour cherry cookie with sea salt on top.
